Multitalented Ashwin Alok, An Example of Perseverance

It is always fun to be able to multitask. One can have so much to do and pursue when they have the eagerness to learn different things. Proving this, Ashwin Alok was born in Patna, Bihar, hailing in the field of filmmaking, acting, and being an author.

As a child, Ashwin always wanted to be a cricketer. But nobody supported him that time. He was discouraged by everybody, which was quite sad for him.

“At that time, sports were not considered among respectable profession in my family and society. So, I had to quit.”

Later he decided to become an aerospace engineer. Even at that time, nobody supported him. His father did not want him to go away from him. After no hope, he asked his father to suggest him some career option, with which they all will be happy. His father suggested pursuing computer science engineering.

“I asked my father after everything that ‘What I should pursue?’. He replied, ‘You are good at computers, so go for computer science engineering.’ And I did my graduation in computer engineering.”

After completing his graduation in 2016, Ashwin along with one of his friends started their company Kreative Krew in 2017. Initially, they used to cover and shoot fashion and corporate events. At the beginning of 2018, Ashwin indulged himself in filmmaking. In January they worked on their maiden short film on their YouTube channel.

“In 2018, when we did not have much work to do, we decided to work on short film making. We started making it in January 2018 and released it after two months, in March on our YouTube channel.”

24 hours after release, the short film received more than 2500 views. It was a proud moment for them.

“More than 2500 views were a lot for our channel. It was just the beginning of our channel and we received so much love already. We got more inspired and motivated after this.”

From this point in life, there was no looking back for Ashwin and he took his career forward. They started making more short films in different genres. They made short films for the Government, Brands, and Companies too. Till now they made over 25 short films. They worked with brands like Gold’s Gym, hospitals, and advertisements for the government.

Several of his short films were also selected and awarded in various film festivals. One of his short Films ‘Bread Butter’ was selected to stream on Disney + Hotstar. He also won the best actor award for his short film, ‘Jeetega India’. Also, he was part of the Amazon series ‘Tandav’. He also made a recent short film on disaster management with the association of Times Group for the Uttar Pradesh Government in 2020.

Along with this, Ashwin is a writer as well. He published his first book ‘Nazm-e-Qaasid’ in January 2020. It was the collection of his Hindi poems. Also, he recently published his second book ‘The Music of Silence’.

After seeing the praise and appreciation for his first short film his father was so proud of him and also started supporting him. He realized the potential and huge scope in the career.

“Now he gives me ideas for short films. He even helps me with that too. Also, he used to research on his own. He has been quite active with my company since that day.”

Life has been very difficult for Ashwin in the initial time. After learning about mind conditioning, he realized how it helped him to survive those times not even knowing it.

“It is very important to have a static and peaceful state of mind. I survive those difficult times without even knowing.”

Talking about his recent book, he also faced rejections. His book was rejected by 20 publishers. Ashwin never lost hope and finally got published. Also, he is taking forward Kreative Krew as a company and his business.

“I am proud of myself. I have achieved many things in the tenure of three years. Working hard pays off. One must stay grateful and hopeful”

Being a multitalented person, he is also into fitness. Along with Kreative Krew, he is the founder of Mind calling where he is a mind and behavioral coach. He is also a certified elite fitness trainer.

Motivation for many youths and working hard every day on his every talent and dream, he is making his way towards a bigger screen of success. He is an inspiration to every artist out there.
